What is the Talent ID Day?
The Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) invites you to join us for a fun day of sports activities and fitness testing! The annual UAA Indigenous Talent ID Day is designed for aspiring athletes wishing to advance their opportunities in sport. Talent ID is an attempt to identify young people with specific skills, personal qualities and physical attributes that may lead them to become a high performing athlete. Those identified will be provided an invitation to join the NIAS Sports Programs selection trials later in the year.

ELIGIBILITY
Both male and females who turn 13, 14, 15 or 16 years of age in 2023. The athlete must be of Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander descent, and must currently reside within the Local Government Area of the Northern Inland.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
Please wear your school sports uniform and joggers. If you have football boots, bring them too. Bring plenty of water. Lunch will be provided however if you have special dietary requirements please bring your own lunch. Participants will enjoy an introduction to multiple sports, where athletes will either play games or participate in sport specific skills in a fun atmosphere to showcase their ability. Every person will participate in each of the sports on rotation throughout the day. All coaches are of the highest quality and experienced in talent identification.
