NIAS FC TEchnical Director

The Northern Inland Academy of Sport are looking for their next Technical Director for the football program. This will be a permanent part-time role (12 month contract) with 30-35 hours per week. 

We are seeking a football enthusiast who will lead our program through Northern Inland NSW, ensuring effective delivery of all responsibilities outlined in the position description, while creating and maintaining the long-term sustainability of NIAS FC.

About NIAS

Athletes are placed at the centre of everything we do so they have the best opportunities to further develop their potential on and off the field. We are a small community-based, not-for-profit organisation that has a strong sporting presence and positive impact throughout the New England North West. We are also part of a wider network of regional academies throughout NSW.

 

About you

We are seeking a football enthusiast who will lead our program through Northern Inland NSW, ensuring effective delivery of all responsibilities outlined in the position description, while creating and maintaining the long-term sustainability of NIAS FC. You will hold a FFA C Licence Accreditation (or be willing to obtain) and will have a detailed knowledge of the FFA National Curriculum and Coaching Process. Overall, you will be responsible for the development, and delivery of day-to-day NIAS FC operations and the professional representation of NIAS and its brand. We are looking for a diverse skill set that includes a cross-section of the following:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • A proven leader with an ability to guide and support a range of stakeholders
  • Extensive previous experience in player development
  • Experience delivering coach accreditation courses
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships which assist NIAS FC to achieve its stated objectives
  • An ability to develop and work to a budget
  • Experience in designing and developing sporting programs and events using a project management approach
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in undertaking a range of duties and responsibilities across multiple business domains
  • Experience communicating and liaising with the media

 

It is essential that you;

You will need to hold a current drivers’ licence as travel is an integral part of this position as the NIAS covers a large geographical area. It is also essential that you have a clear working with children check.
