RASi forms partnership with nswis

The New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS) have recently formed a partnership with the Regional Academies of Sport (RASi). This four year agreement will see the development and improvement of current high performance pathways for athletes in NSW. Working together will provide the best of both worlds where identified coaches will have more opportunities for higher level development and pre-elite athletes will have enhanced opportunities to feed into these high performance pathways with NSWIS. As Ian Robilliard, Chairman of the RASi network states "“Currently, 620 athletes have progressed from RASi to represent Australia, with 34 competing at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The network currently consists approximately 2500 athletes, aged between 13 and 17 years of age, of which 55% are female. We have close to 750 coaches and volunteers in our system spanning across 86 LGA’s delivering over $60M of economic value each year.”
